Guided walks in the Lake District

Join us for a walk to discover, enjoy and appreciate the Lake District [UNESCO World Heritage Site] in a low-impact, environmentally-conscious manner. be inspired and enthused, without the worry of navigating as you are lead by our friendly, highly experienced and qualified team of guides. We want to help you enjoy the best this fabulous area can offer whilst protecting the natural environment and supporting the local rural economy.

We offer graded Itineries, from family friendly wanders to scenic routes up iconic mountains via hidden gems and rainy day rambles. Find a family friendly wander, iconic mountain climb or an interesting route off the beaten track. All walks are suitable for well-behaved dogs who must be kept in control at all times. If you have something in mind you want to achieve, or want a tailor-made walk organised for your family or group please contact us.

We are fully insured, all walks are led by fully qualified MTA guides with outdoor first aid qualifications.

Update July 2020: We are closely monitoring government guidance around the COVID-19 pandemic and will not be offering any public dates until it is considered safe and appropriate to do so. We hope to be able to announce public dates and costs for guided events later in Summer 2020. Please keep an eye on our facebook page or joining our mailing list for latest updates. This will be a big day out where you reach a peak or two, expect to be out all day and ready for a rest at the end. You’ll be climbing up steeply and enjoying some great views as well as being charmed by our fully qualified guides.

Enjoy the surroundings (Grade: Medium)
These are more moderate days out. We might reach some peaks – but these walks are aimed at people who just want to get outdoors and enjoy the scenery, but prefer a less pressured, easier pace taking in the views. Some walks take in some fine peaks, others take in lakes and high mountain passes.

Gentle and family friendly (Grade: Leisurely)

Shorter family friendly walks with time to look around and keep interested in the surroundings. Suitable for all the family, although we may tweak itineraries for families with younger children. Children must be in the care of an adult family member at all time.
